NWA Community Indicators Report

The area comprising Northwest Arkansas has changed dramatically over the last few decades—not only the region but its individual counties and towns as well. Community partners saw a need for an accessible compilation of community indicators with their historical, state, and national benchmarks. In an effort to meet this need, Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation, The United Way of Northwest Arkansas, the Community and Family Institute, Jones Center for Families, and other community leaders are working on a Community Indicators Report. Our Community Research Center provides a number of important links to help the community connect to the resources they need.

A Community Foundation is a collection of funds built through charitable contributions dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people in their community. Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation (NWACF) specifically serves the people living in Washington, Benton, Carroll, and Madison Counties.

These charitable contributions may come from:

  • individuals,
  • families,
  • businesses,
  • corporations, and/or
  • private foundations.

Anyone may become a philanthropist through gifts to a community foundation. NWACF offers easy ways to help you make a significant difference through your giving.

NWACF is a member of the Council on Foundations and has met all national standards for governance and accountability of community foundations.
